Circular economy
The EU Circular Economy objective aims to transition from a traditional linear model of "take-make-dispose" to a sustainable system where resources are reused, repaired, recycled, and kept in circulation for as long as possible.
This approach reduces waste, conserves natural resources, and minimizes environmental impacts while promoting economic growth and job creation.
Metal recycling is a cornerstone of this objective due to metals' ability to be infinitely recycled. Recycling of prepainted metals significantly reduces the energy and emissions associated with primary metal production, conserves finite resources, and supports the development of a sustainable materials loop critical for sectors like construction, transportation, and domestic appliances.
