Life Cycle Analysis
To better understand the environmental profile of products manufactured by its member companies, and in particular, to compare the environmental impacts associated with coil coated (pre-painted) sheet metal in comparison to post-painted sheet metal, ECCA commissioned Anthesis Consulting Group to conduct 2 LCA studies: one for domestic appliances (for steel), the other for the construction industry (for aluminium).
The goal of these studies was to generate environmental profiles of pre- and post-painted sheet metal to better understand the associated lifecycle environmental impacts of each in comparison to one another. Both studies have been critically reviewed by a panel of experts.
